Changelog

Invoices made in one step.
- New invoice and New quote from anywhere. With nothing selected, the buttons ask who it is for (a business from the Contacted list or any name), the offer, what it is for and the price, and make the job with it. A business that gets an invoice is marked Won; one that gets a quote is marked In conversation.
- Quote and Invoice buttons on a business that is in conversation or won.
- Deposit invoices. An invoice for half the price up front, from the New invoice box or the job's Deposit invoice button. The next invoice for the job is for the rest.
- The email to send with it. Each quote and invoice shows a ready email (to, subject and text, with how to pay) with Copy address, Copy subject, Copy email text and Mark sent. Export as PDF and attach it. The app sends no email.
- A quote that has not been accepted is no longer counted in the money still to be paid.
- Command line:
invoiceandquote(for a business, a job or a name,--depositfor half up front),paper <number> <status>(marking an invoice paid records the payment once),mail <number>andbiz(the business details printed on quotes and invoices). - The email text and the lines of a quote or invoice use the full width of the panel.
0.0.3-alpha (2026-10-14)
- Next round status on the Contacted page: pick businesses for the next round of first emails. It has its own filter, the business card has Next round and Out of the next round buttons, and First email sent works from it as from To contact. Businesses in the next round are not counted as contacted.
- Email draft on each business: subject, email text and the files to attach (for example a preview poster), with Copy subject, Copy email text, Copy address, Open and Show in folder. Edits are kept in the book. The app sends no email.
- Command line:
draft <business> --subject --body-file --attachwrites a draft;log <business> next|todomoves a business in or out of the next round.
0.0.2-alpha (2026-10-14)
Quotes, invoices and reminders.
- Quotes and invoices. Make a quote or an invoice from any job. Each one is numbered in order (Q-0001, INV-0001), has its own lines, quantities and prices, a date and a due date (or valid-until date for a quote), and a note. It is shown as it prints, and saves as an A4 PDF to send.
- Quote to invoice. One click turns an accepted quote into an invoice with the same lines.
- Statuses. Quotes are Draft, Sent, Accepted or Declined; invoices are Draft, Sent, Paid or Cancelled. Marking an invoice paid records the payment on its job, once. A draft can be removed; a sent one is kept so the numbers stay in order, and numbers are never reused.
- Your business details. Business name, ABN, address, email, phone, how to pay, terms, days to pay and how long a quote stays valid, set once in Set up and printed on every quote and invoice.
- GST. When the business is registered for GST, 10% is added, the page is titled Tax invoice, and a warning shows if the ABN is missing.
- Follow-ups page. Everyone to write to again, grouped as Overdue, Today, In the next 7 days and Later, with Follow-up sent, Replied, No response and Copy email buttons on each row, and the sent invoices still waiting to be paid.
- A daily reminder. When follow-ups are due, Windows shows a reminder once a day when the app opens.
- Import from Lattice. Import leads takes a Lattice sheet (.lattice) as well as a spreadsheet (CSV). Pick the sheet and which rows to bring in by their fill colour (for example only the green ones), the rows with an email, or every row.
- The command line can import Lattice sheets (
--only green|red|all) and list quotes and invoices (papers).
0.0.1-alpha (2026-10-13)
The first version: the working record of a small business in one book.
- Projects. Everything in a book belongs to a project, and one book can hold several. Pick a project on the left, or look at every project at once.
- Contacted list. Every business you have written to: name, contact person, email, phone, website, trade, place, ABN, what was offered and notes. Filter by status, sort by any column and find by any word.
- Follow-up count. Logging a first email starts the count, and each row shows how many days are left until the follow-up, or how many days it is overdue. The number of days, how many follow-ups to send and when to stop waiting are set in Set up.
- What came back. Log a follow-up, a reply, a no, or no response, each with its date and a note. A business that said no is marked do not contact again, and emails cannot be logged for it. Every business keeps its history.
- Won becomes a job. Marking a business as Won adds a job to the active jobs with the offer, the price and the steps of that kind of job.
- Active and finished jobs. Each job has steps to tick, a progress bar, the changes used out of the changes included, a due date and its payments. Finishing a job moves it to the finished list.
- Overview. The numbers for today on one page: contacted, waiting, follow-ups due, in conversation, won, active jobs and the month's money, with the next follow-ups and the active jobs listed.
- What you sell. Offers with a price, the changes included and the steps of the job, used when a job is made.
- Import leads. A spreadsheet of businesses (CSV) comes in as businesses to contact. Businesses already in the project are left out.
- Files. Books save as .countinghouse files. Any list saves as a spreadsheet (CSV), and a page prints or saves as a PDF. Undo and redo for every change.
- Countinghouse keeps the record only: it does not send email, and nothing goes online.
